Snaps is a screenshot and image-editing extension for Google Chrome. Snaps does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data.
What Snaps does with your data
- Screenshots you capture are created on your device and stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB) so you can reopen them in the gallery. They are never uploaded to any server.
- Settings (theme colour, default format, timer, after-capture behaviour) are stored locally with Chrome's storage API.
- Snaps captures only the tab you choose, and only when you start a capture (button, keyboard shortcut or right-click menu).
What Snaps does not do
- No accounts, sign-in or registration
- No analytics, telemetry, tracking or advertising
- No network requests to our servers or any third party – the extension works fully offline
- No remote code – all code is bundled in the extension package
- No reading of page content, browsing history or form data
